Gum Graft Fixed Gum Recession on Front Teeth
In this video, we walk through a gum graft case for a patient who came to us with significant gum recession on her two front teeth. Not only was she unhappy with how her smile looked, but she was also dealing with intense sensitivity to cold foods and sweets.
She was the perfect candidate for a gum graft. We took a small piece of tissue from the roof of her mouth and used it to rebuild the gum that had receded. The results were immediate; the recession was fully covered, and once the tissue healed, she had 100% root coverage and zero sensitivity.
As periodontists, what we love about this case is the thick, healthy tissue we achieved. Thick tissue means long-lasting stability and helps prevent future recession. The blend is seamless… you’d never know grafting was done.
Her two front teeth were her biggest concern, but while treating them, we were also able to address smaller areas of recession on the surrounding teeth to create a balanced, healthy smile.
A small procedure. A huge difference in comfort, confidence, and long-term health. 🦷✨
